Frequently asked questions
Clear answers about buying, selling, inspections and Drive Port services.
What is the difference between a field-verified listing and an owner-submitted listing?+
A field-verified listing was photographed and prepared by the Drive Port team during a visit. An owner-submitted listing contains details and photos supplied by the owner and is reviewed by the platform before publication.
How does the Saudi market indicator work?+
It compares the asking price with a recent sample of asking prices in similar public Saudi-market listings after removing duplicates and outliers. It shows a guidance range, sample size, and freshness; it does not claim these are completed-sale prices or a final vehicle valuation.
How do I ask about a listed vehicle?+
Open the vehicle page and select “Contact Drive Port”. A conversation linked to that listing opens so the team knows which vehicle you mean and can follow the request in one place.
Can I request an inspection before buying?+
Yes. After booking, you can request a vehicle inspection before completing the purchase. The current fee is SAR 200 including VAT, and all details appear before confirmation.
Can I continue without an inspection?+
Yes. You may continue without an inspection. We make that choice clear and recommend an inspection, especially for used vehicles.
How do I list my car on Drive Port?+
Choose “Sell your car”, select how the listing will be prepared, then enter the vehicle, location, condition and fuel details and complete the required photos. The team reviews the request before publication.
How much does a listing cost?+
The final fee appears clearly in the selling journey before submission. Every price shown by Drive Port includes VAT.
What do I get with a Drive Port team visit?+
The team photographs the vehicle and prepares the listing to a consistent standard. After the visit, the listing receives a field-verified badge. The visit is not a mechanical inspection or a condition warranty.
Where is the team visit available?+
Field visits are currently available in Riyadh, Dammam, Khobar and Dhahran. Self-upload is available across Saudi Arabia.
Are vehicle photos required?+
Yes. The required exterior and interior angles help produce a clear, consistent listing. Any damage or note must also include supporting photos.
How should I photograph the car?+
Follow the guide for each angle and keep the whole vehicle clearly inside the frame. Photograph it in good light with your phone in landscape; the image is prepared automatically, and unclear or incorrect-angle photos may be rejected.
When does my listing become active?+
After submission, the request is marked as processing. Once the Drive Port team verifies the details and photos and approves the request, it becomes active in the marketplace.
Do I need to specify the fuel type?+
Yes. Before submitting, select petrol, diesel, hybrid or electric. The Drive Port team can review and correct this structured value before publication.
Why do I need to sign in?+
Signing in protects requests, conversations and favorites, links them to their owner and lets you follow a listing or request from your account.
How do I track my sale request?+
Open your account, then your sale requests. You will see the current status and any note or action required from you inside the request.
